The use of lubricating oil additives

Lubricating oil additive refers to the mixture of several single agents which are mixed according to certain proportion and blending technology and can meet certain quality grade requirements.

Before 1980s, the additive raw materials of lubricating oil in our country were basically single agent, that is, according to the quality requirement of oil to be blended, certain basic oil is selected and some single additives which can improve the characteristics of certain oil are added. Because of the low quality of lubricating oil and the simple requirements of oil performance evaluation, the blending technology of single agent raw materials is widely used. However, in recent decades, the number of imported cars and imported technology has increased significantly, and the quality requirements of internal combustion engine oil are also increasingly high. The use of single raw material technology to blend oil products is not only troublesome in the process, but also in the aspect of formula evaluation is very difficult, most of the lubricating oil blending plant is difficult to do. Therefore, some manufacturers produce compound additives on the basis of bench evaluation. This compound agent has a variety of functions required by the product oil. As long as the appropriate dosage is added to the specified nature of the base oil, a certain quality grade of oil can be produced. The production process is simple, the operation is convenient, the production cycle is short and the economy is good.
