Components of Automotive Coolant

 

Generally, most automotive coolants/antifreeze are composed of 

 

  • Ethylene glycol (MEG) or Propylene glycol: down the freezing point, and increase the boiling point.
  • Water: main thermal transfer fluids.
  • Additives: rust inhibitors, pitting inhibitors, dispersants, defoaming agents, dyes, and other chemicals.

 

AC 7040 & AC 7015 are coolant corrosion additive packages, Blending the package with water, MEG, defoamed and dyes at a formulated ratio, the manufacturers will get the finished car coolants.
