Components of Automotive Coolant
Generally, most automotive coolants/antifreeze are composed of
- Ethylene glycol (MEG) or Propylene glycol: down the freezing point, and increase the boiling point.
- Water: main thermal transfer fluids.
- Additives: rust inhibitors, pitting inhibitors, dispersants, defoaming agents, dyes, and other chemicals.
AC 7040 & AC 7015 are coolant corrosion additive packages, Blending the package with water, MEG, defoamed and dyes at a formulated ratio, the manufacturers will get the finished car coolants.

- Cast aluminum alloy heat transfer corrosion (135℃/168h): High temperature and high pressure special test (±1.0mg/cm²).
- Aluminum pump cavitation corrosion: ≥8 level (ASTM D2809 method).
