Is there any order in which additives are added?

The order of adding additives has a great impact on the quality of oil products. During the long-term exchange of lubricating oil production technology, some provisions have reached a consensus in principle:

(1) For oil with anti-foaming requirements, anti-foaming agent should be added first to make it fully diffuse, and then add other additives.

(2) For oil products with point reduction requirements, after adding anti-foam agent, point reduction agent should be added first; For the oil products with viscosification requirements, viscosifier can be added later.

(3) Then add other functional additives.

(4) For those with solid additives, the dissolution temperature should be determined according to the dissolution status of solid additives, so that it can be dissolved.

(5) For the additives that have reaction requirements, add the additives that need to react immediately after adding the first several additives, so that the reaction is fully completed before adding other additives.

(6) For the additives that do not need to react, but want to react together, such as acid and alkaline additives can not be added at the same time, should first be added to the oil after dispersing, then add another.
