Why is Trimethylolpropane (TMP) Ester suitable for HFDU fire-resistant hydraulic fluids?
Leave a message
The development of fire-resistant hydraulic fluids began at the end of World War II, it was applied in aircraft hydraulic systems first and gradually promoted use in the civil industry, it is mainly used in hydraulic systems in industries such as metallurgy, mining, power plants, and mechanical processing that are prone to high-temperature open flames, to avoid fire accidents caused by the use of mineral oil-based hydraulic oil leaks.
With the development of hydraulic technology, equipment working conditions are becoming increasingly stringent, and the requirements for safety and environment friendly are constantly increasing, which has led to the continuous development and improvement of various types of flame-resistant hydraulic fluids.

HFDU fire-resistant hydraulic fluids
HFDU fire-resistant hydraulic fluid is composed of synthetic esters as the base oil and additives such as antioxidant, anti-hydrolysis, and anti-corrosion, to ensure that the product has excellent oxidation stability and hydrolysis stability.
Generally, HFDU fire-resistant hydraulic fluid should have the following performance characteristics:
Excellent lubrication performance and shear stability;
Good material adaptability, with lower requirements for sealing materials than phosphate ester fire-resistant hydraulic fluids;
Low pour point, high flash point, high viscosity index, wide application temperature range;
Excellent anti-foaming and anti-emulsification properties;
Outstanding thermal stability performance and long service life;
Easy to biodegrade and environmentally friendly.
HFDU hydraulic fluid is suitable for hydraulic systems in casting production lines working under harsh conditions, as well as hydraulic systems in blast furnaces, dismantling machines, hot rolling plants, casting plants, ladle valves, power plants, coal mines, and other equipment that require flame resistance and safety. It can also replace phosphate ester hydraulic fluid. The temperature range is from 30 ℃ to 150 ℃. The pressure can reach 30Mpa.
Trimethylolpropane Trioleate (TMPTO) Ester
Trimethylolpropane Trioleate (TMPTO) Ester, as the base oil of HFDU, has high flash point and ignition point, low evaporation loss, high viscosity index, strong corrosion resistance, good lubrication, and excellent adaptability to non-metallic materials. Its organic biodegradation rate is between 80% and 100%, and its toxicity is extremely low.
When replacing traditional mineral oil, there is no need to change the material of the system, which is harmless to human health and does not pollute the environment. It is a base oil that meets environmental protection requirements. Compared with mineral oil, it has a wide range of applications and can meet the increasingly stringent requirements of modern mechanical equipment for good lubrication, long oil change period, and low energy consumption. Its price is higher than mineral lubricating oil, but it has excellent performance, long service life, and low mechanical wear.
Therefore, trimethylolpropane tri-oleate ester has certain advantages as a base oil for mining refractory hydraulic fluids.
