Water-Soluble Metal Deactivator TTA-42

Chorus TTA-42 is a liquid, Tolutriazole (TTA) derivative metal deactivator that is soluble in water and glycol systems.
It is an alternative to solid Benzotriazole (BTA) and Tolutriazole (TTA).
It effectively protects copper and copper alloys from corrosion and prevents cobalt leaching*.
When Chorus TTA-42 is combined with Carboxylate rust inhibitors, it provides multimetal protection in aqueous fluids, such as engine coolants and HFC hydraulic fluids.

Aqueous fluid systems with pH>7, including Antifreeze (engine coolant), water/glycol hydraulic fluids (HFC), metalworking fluids (emulsions and synthetics), etc.

Recommended Dosage: 0.1%-0.5%.

*Cobalt leaching refers to the ionized dissolution phenomenon of cobalt-based materials.
The dissolved cabalt ions may catalyze oxidation and cause unwanted secondary corrosion. Water-soluble copper corrosion inhibitor TTA-42 can inhibit cobalt leaching effectively, prolonging the service life of equipment and working fluids.
